Hello and Welcome.
My name is Darryl Daniels. I’m a Selma-born and Alabama-based graphic designer, and the creator of this brand.
Nothing against the sites offering generic, insert-your-city-name-here merchandise, but I wanted to create something more personal, original designs by someone who grew up and lived in Selma, inspired by the incredible people, communities, and memories that make the city such a special place in so many of our hearts.
My “heart bridge” design, the centerpiece of this brand, was created as a symbol of the love so many people have for Selma. It represents connection, unity, love, and an enduring bond that so many people carry for this city, wherever life may take us.
Like many cities and towns across this country, Selma faces real challenges. But there is also a spirit of renewal here, driven by people of goodwill who continue working to uplift the city, invest in its future, and remind us all of what makes Selma worth believing in.
Similarly, part of the objective of Selma Love is not only to promote and represent the city but also to give back, with a percentage of annual sales donated to Selma-based organizations that help make a difference in the community.
As the name makes clear, this brand was built from love for Selma, to share your love for the city, the time, and the places you remember with the world, and to serve as a little reminder of home that you can wear wherever you are.
