Hello and Welcome.

Thank you for visiting Selma Love. My name is Darryl Daniels. I’m from Selma. I was born in Selma. I grew up in and lived in Selma. It’s where my talents as a designer were first born as well.

Over the years, I noticed that I had accumulated a pretty nice little collection of souvenir apparel from places I’ve had the opportunity to visit, but I had nothing representing the city where I was actually born and lived. So, I decided to do something about it and create my own line of original Selma merchandise for my hometown.

In the process of developing designs, I was reminded that I had created a line of ‘Selma Is Home’ notecards, t-shirts, and other items for the old Selma Stationery Store on Broad Street back in the 1990s.

I created the heart-bridge design you’ll see on Selma Love products, which feature our bridge and river within the shape of the heart. It represents the love for this city.

Selma has been through some tough times and is dealing with the real challenges that most cities across this country have faced in recent decades. Anyone can love a place when things seem to be great, but it’s the people who care for it in tough times that are the hope for what it can become.

Thankfully, there are many people of goodwill in Selma working together to uplift the city. Selma Love will donate a percentage of our quarterly sales to organizations doing good works to brighten Selma’s future. It’s one of many things I want to do to help. And this is a start.

As the name conveys, this brand was built from love for Selma, as well as the time, and the places you remember, to serve as a little reminder of home that you can wear wherever you are.
